1. Thanks @dayus4heaven for having me tonight on #BreakingBarriers
2. Tonight is going to be an amazing night as we journey to learn together on The #PowerOfImagination #BreakingBarriers

3. Let me start by saying that #Imagination is from two major words; image+formation #PowerOfImagination #BreakingBarriers

4. I have come to believe that no right thinking person is satisfied with his/her status-quo #BreakingBarriers

5. We always want to move to a more comfortable and convenient state of existence #BreakingBarriers

6. Longing for a better living condition is a natural default for every one of us #BreakingBarriers

7. Frustration begins when we find it difficult to move into the better condition, like we want it #BreakingBarriers

9. #Power is needed for progress and #imagination can power the movement #PowerOfImagination #BreaakingBarriers

10. The ability to form images of a better future is key to #BreakingBarriers

11. Many times, people want a better future, but dont have a definition for that future #BreakingBarriers

12. What exactly would it be like in the future of comfort that you desire? #BreakingBarriers

I13. I ts not sufficient to desire things to be better for you #BreakingBarriers

14. You have to determine what exactly it life will be in clear terms. #BreakingBarriers

15. Everybody is blessed with the #PowerOfImagination but few maximize it. #BreakingBarriers

16. Someone once said, picture your future, so that you can feature in that future #BreakingBarriers

29. We think with our mind and are productive from it also #BreakingBarriers

30. If a feat is too big for your mind, its too big for your life #BreakingBarriers

31. As I begin to close this tonight, I charge you to engage your mind w/imagination #BreakingBarriers

11. We became friends for a few months after she visited the hospital and so we had our first date. #BreakingBarriers

12. The date was at Rhapsody. My Old white golf 3 car had developed a fault. I don’t want to mess my date up. #BreakingBarriers

13. I “kak” up, called Uber. We met, ate and talked. She asked me where my car was and I said I didn’t come with a car. #BreakingBarriers

14. I could read the disappointment on her face. Do you have a car? she asked. I have a VW golf 3 Car I was managing. #BreakingBarriers

15. Then she said asked how old are you? I told her. She said what have you been doing all your life? #BreakingBarriers

16. My heart sank! I told her I had a Start up in Agric at Modakeke, I have a little transport business and I am Doctor. #BreakingBarriers

25. To turn your Passion into Profit, you need to be pushed off your comfort zone. That’s how you can profit! #BreakingBarriers

26. When I was in High school, I had just transferred into a new school. It affected my grades, I also had a skin disorder.#BreakingBarriers

27. It made my classmates discriminate against me. My grades dropped even more. I was very devastated. #BreakingBarriers

28. After a poor performance in a test, my teacher called my name and grade and right in front of my class she said.. #BreakingBarriers

45. It has been said that people who spend at least 10,000 hours doing their passion will become a “Pro” at it. #BreakingBarriers

46. Focus, investing time and resources, Resilience, Research, Study and it will pay off. #BreakingBarriers

47. I have since shared stage with great minds. Google I/O, TedX to mention a few, is what I have gotten from doing this. #BreakingBarriers

51. That is how I am different, I am not others, I am Dr Sola FAJANA, your kind and nice Wellness Strategist. #BreakingBarriers

52. Lastly In 1994, I was involved in a ghastly motor crash riding with Dad on a bad Nigerian road. #BreakingBarriers

53.  It calmed my Dad’s life and many others. The died at the emergency room of the same hospital I trained as a Doctor. #BreakingBarriers

54. It was a very painful experience of my life. I was meditating some sometimes ago and I heard a voice saying… #BreakingBarriers

55. What does a bitter experience do to you if you don’t channel it positively into correcting a wrong. Nothing! #BreakingBarriers

56. I heard a voice telling me “Sola! You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew. #BreakingBarriers

57. Rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You’ll be known as those who can fix anything. #BreakingBarriers

58. Restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.” #BreakingBarriers

59. Friends, life is a journey where we need to channel our passion positively and profit from it. #BreakingBarriers

60. If we all channel our passion positively the world will be a more beautiful and a profitable place. #BreakingBarriers

60. It is possible! It is doable! A better Nigeria and better community is achievable with you. #BreakingBarriers

61. God bless the “Breaking Barriers” platform for putting me on this, God bless you for reading and God bless Nigeria. #BreakingBarriers

DEMYSTIFYING ABUSE

Posted: April 8, 2017 in UNLEASHIDEA INC.

1.  Good evening everyone. My name is Eniola Ennmae Adeniji and tonight I will speaking on the topic: Demystifying Abuse. #BreakingBarriers

2. People often think of domestic violence as men/women being physically violent towards their partners. #NoToDomesticViolence

3. Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive and threatening behaviors that may include physical, emotional, #NoToDomesticViolence

4. Economic and sexual violence as well as intimidation, isolation and coercion.

5. The purpose of domestic violence is often to establish and exert power and control over another; #NoToDomesticViolence

6.  Men most often use it against their intimate partners, such as current or former spouses or dating partners. #NoToDomesticViolence

7. Domestic violence is behavior that is learned through observation & reinforcement in both the family & society. #NoToDomesticViolence

8. It is not caused by genetics or illness. Domestic violence is repeated because it works. #NoToDomesticViolence

9. Domestic violence allows the perpetrator to gain control of the victim through fear and intimidation. #NoToDomesticViolence

10. Gaining the victim’s compliance, even temporarily, reinforces the perpetrator’s use of these tactics of control.

11. More importantly, however, the perpetrator’s abusive behavior is reinforced by the socially sanctioned belief. #NoToDomesticViolence

12. The one that says men have the right to control women in relationships and to use force to ensure that control. #NoToDomesticViolence

13.  At the age of 22 I was married. I was young, naive, had a great life and job. Domestic violence was just a mirth #NoToDomesticViolence

14. I was oh so in love.I just couldn’t wait for forever. Until a month to the wedding and I was asked to resign. #NoToDomesticViolence

15. It was subtle, yet it was a demand I didn’t seem to have a choice in. He was going to be my husband afterall. #NoToDomesticViolence

16. He wanted me to resign from my job, since we’d be relocating to another town. I was in love, what could go wrong. #NoToDomesticViolence

17. It all began first with making sure I had no source of income then it proceeded to isolation and eventually abuse. #NoToDomesticViolence

18. We need to know that domestic violence can take a variety of shapes and forms. #NoToDomesticViolence

19. From emotional abuse, to sexual abuse and of course to near-fatal physical battering. #NoToDomesticViolence

20. Both married and unmarried women can experience domestic violence, so it isn’t limited to only those married. #NoToDomesticViolence

21.  The first time I spoke out about being abused, someone had asked ‘Did he hit you’, I said NO. She laughed it off #NoToDomesticViolence

22. Yet I was abused daily. But because I wasn’t beaten black and blue, then it was regarded as not a big deal. #NoToDomesticViolence

23. Yet I had fears going to bed every night, because he’d force himself on me and I’d end up with bruises. #NoToDomesticViolence

24. Yet, I wasn’t allowed to go out nor allowed any visitor. We don’t go visiting anyone and no one came visiting. #NoToDomesticViolence

25. The first time I spoke about being a victim of economic abuse in a meeting, everyone had laughed silly, lol. #NoToDomesticViolence

26.  Economic abuse Is defined as making or attempting to make an individual financially dependent. #NoToDomesticViolence

27. By maintaining total control over financial resources, withholding access to money,or forbidding one’s employment #NoToDomesticViolence

28. Yet I found myself here. From being a young purposeful & successful young girl to a woman who can’t afford a pad #NoToDomesticViolence

29. I had to depend on him being happy as a determinant of me having a pad 2 use monthly, or risk using cut fabrics #NoToDomesticViolence

30. I had to depend on the #200 (Two hundred naira), daily given to me, as long as he was happy. #NoToDomesticViolence

31. I finally walked out after 3 miserable years. Yes, I was judged and ridiculed. The stigmatization was at my face. #NoToDomesticViolence

32. Yes I was judged because the society believes, I must have deserve it. Oh, you ought to die there as a woman. #NoToDomesticViolence

33. But that is the story of quite a lot of women. I have counselled over 100 women and just bits of differences. #NoToDomesticViolence

34. We have been made to believe it is only expected of d woman to mk it work. And if it isn’t,just stay there mute #NoToDomesticViolence

35. Nobody deserves to be treated cruel and like an animal. Never ever let anyone make you believe that. #NoToDomesticViolence

36. You are not alone, do not die in an abusive relationship not marriage. If you need help, please seek for it. #NoToDomesticViolence

37. Yes, you may be judged, you may even be laughed at by some. But you  would be ‘Alive’. And that’s all that count #NoToDomesticViolence

38. Thank you very much for having me. I look forward to sharing more in the future. Have a good evening. #NoToDomesticViolence

ILLUSION OF EQUALITY

Posted: April 8, 2017 in UNLEASHIDEA INC.

1. What a huge honor to be here to share with us. Thank you @dayus4heaven. #NoToDomesticViolence

2. Tonight I will be looking at our discourse from a perspective as a parenting coach. #NoToDomesticViolence

3. What I will be sharing tonight is an accumulation of experiences listening to my clients, #NoToDomesticViolence

4. Empirical observation and psychopathological inferences. #NoToDomesticViolence

5. I want to appreciate all the other speakers, their sessions were resourceful. #NoToDomesticViolence

6. While its very good we advocate for equally, while is very good to have laws that punish offenders… #NoToDomesticViolence

7. It’s important to note that Domestic violence is not the result of losing control, #NoToDomesticViolence

8. Domestic violence is intentionally trying to control another person. #NoToDomesticViolence

9. DM is intentional use of manipulative tools to gain control, a feat that has worked for the abuser over time. #NoToDomesticViolence

10. Let me share on two of the major root causes of domestic violence #NoToDomesticViolence

11. A dysfunctional community. #NoToDomesticViolence

12. The home is the first community a child is influenced to, hence responsible for shaping a child’s ideology. #NoToDomesticViolence

13. The child’s environment, which is a sub-set of the child’s community, #NoToDomesticViolence

14. Is also a major influence on how a child treats other human. #NoToDomesticViolence

15. How we treat our fellow humans is a reflection of our shared value system as a community. #NoToDomesticViolence

16. Domestic violence is an unveiling of the patterns learned during upbringing. #FaultyUpbringing #NoToDomesticViolence

17. All domestic violence is an ineffective way to communicate, which of course, got its root from the home. #NoToDomesticViolence

18. B.Ineffective communication- #NoToDomesticViolence

19. Because of being raised in a dysfunctional society, lot of children becomes Ill-equipped #NoToDomesticViolence

20. With how to effectively communicate their anger, hurt, pain or displeasure. #NoToDomesticViolence

21. Hence, the abusers project their hurt and unresolved issues on another human, #NoToDomesticViolence

22. Which manifest itself in form of physical abuse, emotional abuse, verbal abuse et al. #NoToDomesticViolence

23. Domestic abusers are carriers of unresolved issues, either from childhood, environment or emotional experience, #NoToDomesticViolence

24. Who just use others as symbol vehicle to pay back on their unresolved past. #NoToDomesticViolence

25. We all have a duty to empower our community (home) to treat all humans with dignity and respect, #NoToDomesticViolence

26. Irrespective of our cultural, religious or social affiliation. #NoToDomesticViolence

30. Parents should be intentional about the community the erect for their children and the life the need to model. #NoToDomesticViolence

31. Children should be taught emotional mastery and how to interprete life’s situations #NoToDomesticViolence

32. Parents, like all humans should seek effective means to communicate their displeasure or experiences of the past. #NoToDomesticViolence

33. The abuser and abused need help, to re-engineer the residue of their experiences, #NoToDomesticViolence

34. If we love enough to treat one another as ourselves, we wouldn’t want to hurt one another. #NoToDomesticViolence

35. I’ll stop here for tonight. Thank you for following

We want to appreciate Adeh Jones for those great nuggets shared on #Breakingbarriers.

NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Posted: April 8, 2017 in UNLEASHIDEA INC.

1. Hello y’all & thanks for having me on your platform to talk about an issue that’s now so pandemic-DV|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

2. Definition of DV has been given earlier, sharing it again so that we address the full spectrum | #NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

3. DV affects everyone regardless of strata or education and can be perpetrated by all genders | #NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

4. DV affects not just the victims, but also family members, friends, co-workers, community at large |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

5. Sadly, victims of DV often cite their children as a reason for staying in abusive relationships | #NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

6. Often we talk of the more obvious cases of domestic abuse –Physical & Sexual but neglect others | #NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

7. Psychological-Emotional-Verbal-Economic/Financial Abuse are also as insidious/DAMAGING to victims|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

8. According to Craig Malkin, PhD, “many victims of DV suffer from post-traumatic stress syndrome, one symptom of which is dissociation..”

9. “DISSOCIATION creates such profound detachment from reality of the abuse that sufferers scarcely remember/are in DENIAL of being hurt..”

10.Dissociated victims often DON’T leave abusers because they aren’t psychologically present enough to process their pain/danger of abuse..

11. Often it would take a well-trained professional to do a strategic intervention which gets victims of abuse back into an ASSOCIATED state

12. In a nation like Nigeria with a social COGNITIVE DISSONANCE and skewed Religious/Cultural influences in some cases, DISSOCIATION is HIGH

13. This is why I encourage many religious orgs to have a formal network of professionally trained mental health professionals for referrals

14. Are you a VICTIM or PERPETRATOR of domestic violence? Here are some general definitions of each |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

15. Physical abuse is more commonly talked about & often easily prosecuted; easier to gather evidence |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

16. Sexual abuse in a relationship often fall under the grey areas as it is often difficult to prove|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

17. Are you an unconscious victim or perpetrator of Financial abuse in your relationship? Self-check|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

18. A quick note -during challenging economic conditions/recession, even healthy relationships need a lot of communication about finances..

19. During dating/courtship or even if an arranged marriage, I often suggest that couples “make money talk part of their pillow/date talk!”

20. Sometimes, a prospective spouse/partner may be seemingly “perfect” during courtship & victims of domestic violence fail to see any sign

21. In other instances, abusers begin early to show signs of a pre-disposition to abuse. Once you notice anything, do NOT ignore your gut!!

22. Lack of financial independence is often cited by victims of DV as a reason for staying on in it|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

23. In societies without established laws/enforcement of child custodial rights/alimony, it affects choices of victims|#NoToDomesticViolence

24. I advocate starting early to teach financial independence to ALL children, especially GIRLS |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

25. I also highly recommend all religious organizations involve professional subject matter experts to talk to couples BEFORE their marriage

26. Every faith-based org I work with, I encourage them to have an open door policy for professional intervention re domestic abuse cases.

27. Religious organizations, community leaders/cultural influencers are necessary stakeholders to eliminate/curb domestic abuse in society.

28. Relevant Laws are very important & Govt MUST provide good regulatory framework -however, IT is all geared more to ENFORCEMENT, post DV

29. Many cases where abusers use $/expensive gifts as control tools to “buy” their victim’s silence |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

30. A Sign of DV – Emotional & Financial isolation; barring victims from pursuing careers/interests |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

31. AGAIN, while dating/courting, it’s important 4 couples to discuss issues/expectations/boundaries|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

33. Experts often refer to EMOTIONAL/Psychological abuse as the BIRTH PLACE of ALL other abuse types|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

34. Psychological abuse involves using words OR using silence/malice to reduce self-worth of victims|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

35. I recommend L. Bancroft’s book on Emotional Abuse-Why Does He Do That?: Inside the Minds of Angry & Controlling Men #NoToDomesticViolence

36. HOW do WE all curb Domestic Violence individually, as a Society/Community, as Govt Agencies? |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

37. Skewed socio-cultural-traditional conditioning/religious beliefs are key factors abetting abuse |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

38. Culture must be dynamic framework & evolves our interpretation of religion, beliefs, values. A static prism creates stagnation/injustice.

39. What WE condone (as a society-culture-group) simply persists. What society CONDEMNS, consistently/unequivocally DIES AWAY gradually/fast

40. ALL Genders should be taught a consciousness of personal boundary-setting, mutual respect, anger management, emotional guidance scales.

41. Prevention of DV starts with creating awareness on effective parenting to raise ALL kids with HEALTHY self-respect and clear boundaries

42. Prevention/curbing of DV involves creating awareness in educational/socio-cultural institutions |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

43. Curbing DV entails educating religious leaders/community orgs on its causes, effects, solutions |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

44. Prevention of DV-identifying/providing support 4 kids/adults who’re at risk esp if they witnessed abuse growing up|#NoToDomesticViolence

45. Organizations like @wholewomaninc & @wrapang carry out awareness programs with key stakeholders |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

46. Refer to tweets on HOW TO CREATE SAFE SPACES for victims of DV by my colleague/fellow panelist, @SuperGirlTimidi |#NoToDomesticViolence

47. The basic foundation of safe spaces is EMPATHY –in our words, perceptions & judgments of victims|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

48. As individuals/as a society, creating awareness to end the stigma around DV & decisions of victims to leave unsafe spaces = Critical..

49. Often, all abuse stems from INEQUALITY, insecurity, unhealthy mind space of “greater than” / “less than”. NASS should pass the #GEOBill

50. Educating a girl-child, in a patriarchal society, must expand to truly EMPOWERING her about finances, self-esteem/worth/boundary setting

51. Education/empowerment must also include the boy-child, to unlearn certain socially entrenched/socialized patterns of thoughts/behaviour

52. Societal shift needed-STOP shaming/blaming victims & rather hold perpetrators accountable for DV|#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

53. Victims of abuse, the children, their circle of friends and families need psycho-social support |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

54. An area that’s often neglected is mandatory therapy & REHABILITATION of convicted or identified perpetrators of DV|#NoToDomesticViolence

55. How do we PRACTICE #NoToDomesticViolence using structured social, legal, systemic/regulatory frameworks/policies?|#NoToDomesticViolence

57. There’s a need to have the right legal/enforcement environment to curb DV. The VAPP law addresses some core issues |#NoToDomesticViolence

58. What are GAPS we must address as a society to create safer spaces & curb Domestic Violence? 1/2 |#NoToDomesticViolence #BreakingBarriers

59.  Need for co-ordination & integration of all the primary, secondary & inter-linked agencies in the value chain to curb domestic abuse|2/2

60. Govt participation -key stakeholder –NGOs/Faith-based groups must engage Govt persistently on deliverables/mandate/hold them accountable

61. Again, thanks for inviting me on your platform. My appreciation to all who engaged & retweeted AWARENESS IS KEY! We all CO-CREATE change

Thank you Juliet Kego for those insightful and expository  words shared on #BreakingBarriers.

RELATIONSHIP RED FLAGS

Posted: March 31, 2017 in UNLEASHIDEA INC.

1. #Hi guys, thank you for joining me this evening on #BreakingBarriers @dayus4heaven

2. And thank you @dayus4heaven for inviting me on this platform. I am honoured, bro #BreakingBarriers

3. And before I go on, let me wish every woman here a Happy Women’s Day. It’s a great time to be a woman. #BreakingBarriers

4. So, this evening I am going to be talking about Red Flags in Relationships. It’s a topic I am happy to talk about today #BreakingBarriers

5. Many people don’t understand what they shuld look for in a prospective guy or girl because they are desperate for company #BreakingBarriers

6. Please do not get to that level. Irrespective of how old you are, you deserve to be happy. Therefore, caution is key #BreakingBarriers

7. How do you identify Relationship Flags? You need to be sensitive and observant in order to identify these things. #BreakingBarriers

8. Please do not get carried away by love or infatuation. Love is not enough to sustain your relationship at all. #BreakingBarriers

9. 1) Constant Disagreement. When you constantly disagree with someone you are dating or prospecting, then it’s a red flag #BreakingBarriers

10. When you are constantly at logger heads with your partner shows that your values are clashing. #BreakingBarriers

12. People don’t clash but their values clash. #BreakingBarriers

13. Your values are your principles, ethics and things you live your life by. #BreakingBarriers

14. So, your values are almost the most important thing in your life. #BreakingBarriers

15. So, you need to find out your top 10 values and also check for the compatibility in your partner. #BreakingBarriers

16. When your values are not compatible, there would be constant disagreement and clashes. #BreakingBarriers

17. 2) Lack of Respect for your Opinion. When your Bae has no respect for your opinion, then it’s a red flag. #BreakingBarriers

18. If your partner disregards your opinion, either by shutting you down or dismissing it, then they don’t respect you #BreakingBarriers

19. When you are with someone, they should count you important enough to respect what you have to say or contribute #BreakingBarriers

20. Lack of Mind Intimacy: A lot of people are only concerned about physical intimacy but they neglect Mind Intimacy #BreakingBarriers

21. Mind Intimacy is when someone stimulates your mind. You can relate with that person on a deeper level beyond sex #BreakingBarriers

22. Mind Intimacy would sustain your relationship beyond physical or emotion. #BreakingBarriers

23. 4) Lack of Emotional Connection: If you don’t connect emotionally with your spouse, then it’s a red flag. #BreakingBarriers

24. Emotional Connection doesn’t necessarily mean the butterflies. It is when you are really feeling this person in your heart #BreakingBarriers

25. 5) A Restless Intuition: When your soul man is telling you something is wrong, then it is a great red flag. #BreakingBarriers

26. God gave us something to confirm or condemn what you are doing. To some, it’s the Holy Spirit, to some it’s intuition #BreakingBarriers

27. Don’t ever disregard this or wish it away. Most people who have issues later on said they perceived it in their soul #BreakingBarriers

28. 6) Secrecy:When your person is very secretive to the extent dat they are alwys hiding things frm you, then it’s a red flag #BreakingBarriers

29. When you have to find out things behind their back and they are always hiding major information from you, please rethink. #BreakingBarriers

30. Any relationship that has so much secrets in it is bound to fail pretty soon. #BreakingBarriers

31. If your partner is not straight with you, wahala dey. It’s a great red flag #BreakingBarriers

32. Let me stop here for now, just in case there are questions. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers.

Thanks Lara Kudayisi-Emerald for those insightful words shared on #Breakingbarriers

Remember fam,  with God its people like us that succeed in life.

MASTERY OF BELIEF

Posted: March 4, 2017 in UNLEASHIDEA INC.

1. Good Evening and welcome to this week’s session of #breakingbarriers as we teach of Mastery of Beliefs: Success. @dayus4heaven

2. Every one of us desires to succeed because that’s the way God created us; it’s an innate desire. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

3. However, success will never come to us on a platter of gold. We must strive for it and go for it with a strong desire. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

4. One thing we need to first of all also understand is that success is relative. To the student, success is passing an exam. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

5. To the accountant, success could be balancing his books or keeping his Organization’s spending within a certain limit. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

6. That’s why we must never look down on any one’s personal definition of success. We all have different aspirations. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

7. Success can also be broken down into a set of goals such that when each goal is achieved, you know you have succeeded. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

8. So you keep moving from goal to goal, success to success and this makes your success measurable and easily achievable. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

9. The most important thing therefore is this: what is the foundation for Success and how do I break all the barriers around me? #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

10. The foundation for Success and where all barriers are broken is the mind. The mind is the seat of our beliefs. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

11. Success is a belief and likewise failure is a belief. Everything we do in life and that happens to us is driven by beliefs. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

12. According to the Catalyst, “Behind every outcome in life is a belief.” This means that our beliefs determine our results and experiences. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

13. We don’t inherit success or failure; we inherit beliefs and these beliefs create our experiences and results all through life. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

14. Success is not a native of any country, race or tribe; it is simply a function of what you believe. You are what you believe. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

15. What is belief? Belief is the state of mind in which a person thinks something to be the case, with or without there being empirical evidence to prove that something is the case with factual certainty. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

16.  BELIEF COULD ALSO BE DEFINED AS A STATE OR HABIT OF MIND IN WHICH TRUST OR CONFIDENCE IS PLACED IN SOME PERSON OR THING. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

17. EVERY ONE OF US HAS A BELIEF AND OUR BELIEFS WILL ALWAYS BRING FORTH FRUIT. YOUR BELIEF IS THE LENS THROUGH WHICH YOU VIEW THE WORLD AND ALSO MAKE DECISIONS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

18. IN UNDERSTANDING WHAT BELIEF IS AND HOW YOUR BELIEFS AFFECT YOUR success, THERE ARE SOME DEFINITIONS WE NEED TO GO THROUGH. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

19. MINDSET. MINDSET CAN BE DEFINED AS A PARTICULAR WAY OF THINKING: A PERSON’S ATTITUDE OR SET OF OPINIONS ABOUT SOMETHING. A MENTAL INCLINATION, TENDENCY, OR HABIT. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

20. ASSUMPTION. AN IDEA THAT IS FORMED WITHOUT EVIDENCE I.E. SOMETHING THAT YOU ACCEPT AS TRUE WITHOUT QUESTION OR PROOF.  #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

21. TRADITION. THE TRANSMISSION OF CUSTOMS OR BELIEFS FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION, OR THE FACT OF BEING PASSED ON IN THIS WAY. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

22. VALUES. VALUES ARE PRINCIPLES OR STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR; ONE’S JUDGEMENT OF WHAT IS IMPORTANT IN LIFE. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

23. A combination of your mindset, traditions, assumptions, values etc. Is what will eventually form your core belief about life and Success. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

24. IT IS ALSO VERY INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT MOST BELIEFS THAT CONTROL OUR LIVES HAVE BEEN FORMED BEFORE THE AGE OF SIX YEARS OLD AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN KNOW. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

25. For example if you come from a place where they have a belief that success is only for a chosen few, that’s the lens through which you will view life. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

26. With this kind of mindset, you will never attract success simply because you have been unconsciously programmed to think it is for a chosen few. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

27. FOR EXAMPLE, A CHILD WHO ALWAYS SEES HIS MUM AND DAD QUARELLING WILL HAVE THE BELIEF THAT THAT’S WHAT MARRIAGE IS ALL ABOUT AND WILL SIMPLY REPLAY THAT SCRIPT WHEN HE MARRIES. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

28. YOUR WAY OF THINKING IS YOUR BELIEF ABOUT A THING. YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK. AS HE THINKS SO IS HE. PROVERBS 23:7. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

29. THE SAME OLD THINKING AND BELIEFS WILL PRODUCE THE SAME OLD RESULTS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

30. YOUR BELIEF IS YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM AND WE MUST MAKE SURE THIS IS IN LINE WITH GOD’S WORD FOR SUCCESS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

31. PROVERBS 4:23 THE ONLY THING GOD HAS TOLD YOU TO GUARD IS YOUR HEART AND YOU SHOULD DO IT DILIGENTLY BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT CONTROLS YOUR LIFE. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

32. GOD WANTS YOU TO GUARD YOUR MIND BECAUSE EVEN GOD CANNOT DO ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE WITHOUT YOUR MIND I.E. YOUR BELIEF. PHILEMON 14. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

33. IF MY BELIEFS ARE THESE IMPORTANT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO ME IN LIFE, HOW THEN DO I CHANGE MY BELIEFS? #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

34. FIRST OF ALL YOU MUST KNOW THAT IT IS GOD’S UTMOST DESIRE FOR YOU TO SUCCEED. TO PROSPER MEANS TO SUCCEED. 3 JOHN 2 #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

35. SECONDLY YOU MUST ALSO MAKE A CHOICE TO SUCCEED AND NO ONE CAN MAKE THAT CHOICE FOR YOU. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

36. GOD SAID IN 3 JOHN 2 THAT YOUR MIND DETERMINES YOUR SUCCESS AND REMEMBER WE SAID YOUR MIND IS THE SEAT OF BELIEFS; YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR MIND. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

37. IDENTIFY THE WRONG BELIEFS I.E. LIES SATAN HAS TOLD YOU. THESE ARE ALSO CALLED LIMITING OR DISEMPOWERING BELIEFS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

38..YOU MUST KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST AND THIS TALKS ABOUT IDENTITY. WHO ARE YOU? #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

39. YOU MUST KNOW THE TRUTH. NATURE ABHORS VACUUMS AND YOU WILL ALWAYS KNOW EITHER THE TRUTH OR A LIE. JOHN 8:32 #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

40. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHERE YOU ARE GETTING INFORMATION FROM I.E. WHAT YOU WATCH, WHAT YOU READ, WHAT AND WHO YOU ARE LISTENING TO ETC. PSALM 1:1-3 #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

41. YOU CAN GET AN UNGODLY COUNSEL FROM A GODLY MAN IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

42. YOU MUST MEDITATE OF SUCCESS BY FILLING YOUR MIND WITH WHAT YOU WANT AND NOT WHAT YOU DON’T WANT. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

43. MEDITATION TALKS ABOUT PONDERING UPON SOMETHING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IT IS MORE OR LESS THINKING IN PICTURES. JOSHUA 1:8, PSALM 1:1-3 & PHILIPPIANS 4:8. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

44. MEDITATION IS WHAT LEADS TO THE MIND RENEWAL PROCESS. ROMANS 12:1-3.  THIS IS WHAT WE CALL METAMORPHOSIS I.E. THE BUTTERFLY FORMATION PROCESS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

45. PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT. THIS IS THE PROCESS THROUGH WHICH THE HOLY GHOST ESTABLISHES GOD’S TRUTH OVER YOUR LIFE. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

46. YOU MUST DECLARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE. IF YOU DON’T SAY IT WITH YOUR MOUTH IT SIMPLY MEANS YOU DON’T BELIEVE IT. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:13 & ROMANS 10:9 #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

47. IT WON’T HAPPEN IN ONE DAY BUT AS YOU PUT ALL THESE TO WORK, YOU WILL GRADUALLY START ATTRACTING SUCCESS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

48. THEN OF COURSE, YOU MUST PUT YOUR HANDS TO WORK. THE IDLE MAN IS GUARANTEED A FUTURE OF POVERTY, LACK AND WANT. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

49. AND NEVER FORGET GOD’S GRACE I.E. UNMERITED FAVOUR. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven @gracelifengr

50. YOU ARE NOT GOING BACK TO YOUR PAST. THERE IS A BRIGHT SUCCESSFUL FUTURE IN YOU AND AHEAD OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

51. YOU WILL SUCCEED IN JESUS PRECIOUS NAME. #breakingbarriers  @dayus4heaven

WHAT MAKES YOU TICK? SERIES 3

Posted: February 26, 2017 in UNLEASHIDEA INC.

First of all, I’d like to thank @dayus4heaven for inviting me on #BreakingBarriers. It is a great privilege to be here. Thanks once again

Today, I’d be sharing on WHAT MAKE ME TICK? Incidentally, my birthday was February 10. I had been sharing something similar#BreakingBarriers

By God’s grace, I have achieved a whole lot within a short time. I am grateful to God for this. I’d share a few things #BreakingBarriers

WHAT MAKES ME TICK? WHAT MAKES ME TICK? WHAT MAKES ME TICK? WHAT MAKES ME TICK? @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers

1. I am inspired by God’s Love for me & my Love For Him! This necessitates EVERY decision, action I take. #WhatMakesMeTick #BreakingBarriers

I know God loves me. I am more than convinced that He has GREAT PLANS for my life (Jer 29:11) It stirs me #WhatMakesMeTick #BreakingBarriers

2. I have a CLEAR PERSONAL VISION! This is the foundation on which I do EVERYTHING. What is a vision? #WhatMakesMeTick #BreakingBarriers

I also love God dearly. I strive to live by His Word and be a worthy representative of Him on earth #WhatMakesMeTick #BreakingBarriers

A Personal Vision is your MENTAL PICTURE of your DESIRED FUTURE. It is the FOUNDATION upon which your success is built #BreakingBarriers

Often times, people mistake VISION, DREAM & GOAL as the same. They are different, yet very connected! I’d explain shortly #BreakingBarriers

Do you have a PERSONAL VISION? Do you have MENTAL pictures of your future? What you cannot SEE, you cannot HAVE/EXPERIENCE! #BreakingBarriers

Your VISION is the FOUNDATION. Your DREAM is the INSPIRATION. Your GOAL is the EXECUTION. End Point = SUCCESS #BreakingBarriers

It’s never to let to know your PERSONAL VISION. It needs to be PRECISE. Not sure? GET HELP! You should send me a dm ASAP. #BreakingBarriers

My UNDERSTANDING of my PERSONAL VISION inspires me via my DREAMS. I set GOALS as my EXECUTION PLAN! Nothing can stops me #BreakingBarriers

What were you born to do? What problem were you created to solve? Break the barrier of low performance by knowing this #BreakingBarriers

3. My AUDACIOUS GOALS!Success is the achievement of PRE-DETERMINED goals. My Goals DRIVE me ALL THE TIME. #WhatMakesYouTick #BreakingBarriers

I have 8 Golden Rules of Goal Setting. One of them- “Your Goals Must STRETCH you.” This principle PUSHES me ALL the time. #BreakingBarriers

Do you GOALS spur you to take ACTION? Do you disturb your mental process? If they do not #BreakingBarriers may be a mystery to you!

Power of Goals – Goal Give You Long Term Vision&Short Term Motivation. Are your goals aligned with the BIGGER PICTURE? #BreakingBarriers

Setting Goal helps you develop your self (accountability, improvement, confidence and respect) #BreakingBarriers

Goals help PROPEL YOU FORWARD! That’s what I am PASSIONATE about them. MY GOALS make me tick #BreakingBarriers

3. What makes me tick? My PURSUITS! I have seven of them. I’d share shortly #Breaking Barriers

My Pursuit of Family Love/Stability, Excellence, Character, Innovation, Personal Development, Selfless Service and Legacy #BreakingBarriers

Family Love/Stability – I do my BEST to ensure there’s love, peace & stability in my home. It’s part of my MOTIVATION #BreakingBarriers

Promote PEACE, LOVE and JOY in your life and home! If it’s present in both, EVERYTHING else will COMPLY #BreakingBarriers

Don’t COMPROMISE ANYTHING that will distabilise your home. Family problems may affect EVERYTHING about you! I’m serious #BreakingBarriers

I SET GOALS to make my wife HAPPY! It’s a MAJOR PART of my MOTIVATION. NO AMOUNT OF MONEY can replace it in my life #BreakingBarriers

EXCELLENCE – I am always driven to ensure I deliver better than before! I do not set personal standards! #BreakingBarriers

YESTERDAY’S excellence is TODAY’S mediocrity! Everytime I work, this RINGS IN MY HEAD! Let it always ring in yours #BreakingBarriers

Don’t set personal standards for excellence. FIND OUT the standard. The least is to be at par with it & not less #BreakingBarriers

I like to OVER-DELIVER EXCELLENTLY. People around me called it OVER-SABI. Well, it’s opened more doors for me #BreakingBarriers

Don’t be a local champion.Find out the WORLD’S STANDARD in whatever you do.A continental champion may be a world’s failure #BreakingBarriers

CHARACTER – I never want to be speaking, teaching or preaching and my wife, child(ren), staff or friends will be laughing #BreakingBarriers

Remember, a GOOD NAME is BETTER than riches. Preach what you practice. Let it not be the other way round #BreakingBarriers

Watch your words, actions and behaviour. People would judge you more based on these and not what you say #BreakingBarriers

Innovation -I pursue this CONSCIOUSLY! Newly formed and executed ideas RULE THE WORLD! I like to know how best I can serve #BreakingBarriers

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT – This is MY MANTRA! I am conscious that I cannot give what I do not have. Hence I pursue this… #BreakingBarriers

When I set goals, I set PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS. I also BUDGET for it. That’s one reason I achieve a lot. Do the same! #BreakingBarriers

SELFLESS SERVICE – I always place helping others over myself. I go out of my way! The results give me unquantifiable joy #BreakingBarriers

LEGACY – What do I want to be remembered for? This question also rings in my head all the time. It facilitates what I do! #BreakingBarriers

I’m sure you’ve learnt something tonight. DO SOMETHING with what you’ve learnt. God bless you. Till some other time #BreakingBarriers

Thank you Kelechi Anyilechi for sharing those nuggets. God bless you!

Remember with God its people like us that succeed in life.

To your success,
