BREAKING MENTAL LIMITATIONS

The subject of the mind is so critical to the success of our lives. It has a way of influencing practically all areas of our lives.  It can affect our career, marriage, business, relationships and wellbeing. The outcome could either be positive or negative.

I realised that your thinking pattern has a direct relationship to your life pattern. You cannot grow bigger than your mind can comprehend. How far your mind travels will determine how far you will physically go In life. The problems in our lives exist to the degree of our ignorance. Someone once said that there is no mountain anywhere. He said each person’s mountain is his or her own ignorance.  The extent to which your mind comprehends is the extent to which you will conquer in life.

Mental limitation is an internal affair. It is internally programmed. The programming of the mind is majorly from past experiences. These experiences border on culture, personality type, exposure and upbringing. When you therefore see someone behaves in a certain way, you might want to take a critical look at these indices responsible for programming the mind.  The state of this programmed mind will either put a cap or unleash your potential. Whatever is that area of limitation, sit down, assess and take on the new approach it requires.

You can break free from mental limitations. You might be wondering; how can i break free?  I want to give the following steps that will help you break free from such limitations.

Appraise your life. What is prevalent in your life at the moment? How did these traits got into you? Is it normal to be there? Your responses will put a responsibility on you to decide what is next to do. The quality of your life cannot be better than the quality of your thinking. You are literarily what you think.

Appraise your friends. The quality of people closest to you paints a picture of the quality of life you are going to live.  Someone once said that; “show me your friend and I will tell you what your future will look like.”

Appraise the culture of the environment you grew from. Culture has a way of having your future for lunch IF you are not careful. The best the culture has to offer is the best you will ever be. This implies that you might not fit into the global scheme of things if you are mainly driven by culture.

This is because your world view will be coloured, and your interpretations narrowed. You have to come to terms that there is more to life that you can physically comprehend within one cultural location. There is an adage from a particular culture that stated that;  “Let us do it the way it has always been done so that we can get the same result.” Two, three and four decades after. The proverb is still been passed from one generation to another.  Your guess is as good as mine about what becomes the future of such a community or nation. There is a high tendency that the people who imbibe such culture will make backward motion when the world is making forward motion.
Appraise your background influences/experiences.  Your past has a way of impacting your present. The experiences of your life or business today might not be the reality of your life. Do not judge yourself with your current circumstances. You can break free from limitations when you take it off your mind. When you take limits off, it will lift your life to unimaginable heights. To be successful in life, you have to be in control of your mind.
STEPS TO TRANSFORMATION.
Get to know the one who created you and the purpose He has for you.

Read books that positively reinforce your value. e.g the Bible and other inspiring  and mind shifting books.

Change your association. Do not hang around people who will run down your worth.

Keep speaking to your life and maintain the picture of a preferable future.

Action. Take steps to becoming who you desire to be.
