#BREAKINGBARRIERS WEEK 36

1. Thank you @dayus4heaven for having me on #BreakingBarriers. I believe it will be an enlightening and empowering time for us all.

2. Barriers to destiny are those things that stop us from achieving our goals and pursuing destiny with vigor, focus, and energy. #BreakingBarriers

3. These barriers include physical or health barriers, mental barriers, emotional barriers, relationship barriers, and spiritual barriers. #BreakingBarriers

4. Barriers could also be seen as limitations. And today we are looking at personal limitations and how to overcome them. #Breakingbarriers

5. I first heard the phrase “Overcoming Personal Limitations” from Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, and decided to adapt it for this session.

6. Personal limitations are those things that limit us and hold us back from pursuing and fulfilling our destiny. They are peculiar to us.

7. IT is so easy to focus on other people’s limitations, but we have to work on our own limitations.

8. We know the things that always appear to stop us at the edge of success, or the things that hinder us from making progress.

9. Some of these mental barriers or limitations include low self-esteem, fear of failure, failed relationships, and poor background.

10. Even poverty can put a mental limitation on an individual. The poverty mentality also needs to be overcome.

11. You can overcome poverty mentality by knowing that you are not your background. You are not your bank account. You are who God says you are.

12. That you came from a very poor background does not mean you will remain poor. You can write your own future!

13. God has said a good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children. That is you God had in mind. Go for it!

14. Even a history of abuse and bad parentage could delimit a person’s destiny, albeit unconsciously. You know your limitations, I know mine.

15. But how can we overcome them? What are the steps to take in order to live the abundant life that is available to us?

16. The first step is to acknowledge that you have a problem; identify the problem. A problem known is half-solved.

17. Assess your past and ascertain the factors that may have held you down from making progress. Write them down

18. Again, we must understand that personal limitations are not good. And God wants to break us free from them!

19. You will overcome every personal limitation in Jesus name.

20. Forget about the negative past. After you have learned the lessons from the past, deliberately forget the pain.

21. Don’t hold unto the hurts and the bad memories of past failures. LET THEM GO! It is time to move on.

22. Stop talking about the past if you want to forget it. Don’t discuss it. Let it go!

23. Know who you are. Know what God has said concerning you.

24. Reeducate your mind. Many of the barriers that limit us are mental barriers. Feed your mind with new

knowledge of who you are.

25. Pure and undiluted knowledge of who you are can be found in God’s word. What has God written about you?

26. Let us pause here to understand that the Bible is God’s word to YOU. It is the true picture of who we are and what we can become.

27. Believe the word of God concerning you. Don’t believe the negative things people have said concerning you.

28. Think upon the good word of God (Phil 4:8). Avoid things that defile your mind and conscience. Take in only that which is good.

29. Declare words of power into your life: I am what God says I am. I am a winner and not a loser. I am the apple of God’s eye.

30. Write them down on a piece of paper, make them into an image. Declare them frequently and constantly UNTIL you believe them

31. If you are constantly experiencing storms of fear, declare that God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power and sound mind. 2
Tim 1:7

32. If you are timid, declare that, The wicked runs when no one pursues but the righteous are BOLD as a lion. Proverbs 28:1

33. Is poverty mentality your issue? Declare that “Christ Jesus became poor so that I might be rich.” Therefore I am rich.

34. Feeling inadequate?Declare: I CAN do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength! Phil 4:13

35. Speak into your life, the first prophet in your life is YOU. Don’t pass on that responsibility. Declare greatness into your life!

36. Once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you inherit the nature of an overcomer.

37. But you are still trekking. No problem; you are only being prepared for greatness that awaits you!

38. Have a positive answer for those that think you are crazy. Only just keep renewing your mind!

39. But these promises are for those who have received Jesus into their lives and honor God with the same.

40. If you have not received Jesus, now is a good time to consider doing so, so that the years of shame can be bygones!

41. Paint a different picture of the future you desire using your heart as the canvas and the word of God as the oil.

42. Begin to imagine the future you want to have. Whatever your eyes of your heart can see God will give to you!

43. Someone says you cannot feature in the future you did not picture. What kind of future do you desire?Write them down.

44. When you are busy thinking and planning of the future you want to have, you have little time to consider the pain of the past!

45. Make a decision never to fall back into the same old pit of sin that brings shame. Choose to stand right even if you stand alone.

46. Standing right means you trust God to meet your every need. You trust God to lead you even when you don’t know where to!

47. Many people still languish in the pain of rejection – from employers, from loved ones, from friends and many more.

48. We must learn to turn our rejection into direction. Channel all that negative energy into something positive.

49. Rather than wasting time thinking of who rejected you, learn a new skill, craft a new vision, pursue a new purpose,

50. It may be that God stopped you from getting that thing, because he had something better planned for you!

51. Another mental barrier people have is Sudden Success mentality. We need to rid ourselves of that and embrace patience.

52. You think people do not like you? Well, spend less time thinking about people, and start thinking of how you can better yourself.

53. Focus on your gifts. Focus on what you have; not what you don’t have. Start using the gifts you have. Don’t let what you don’t have stop you from pursuing your dream.

54. You also need to watch the people that speak over you. Be careful who you listen to. Choose your counselors wisely.

55. If your barber is always talking negative things, change him! Your inner cleanliness is more important!

56. Hang around people that inspire and challenge you to do more, to do better. Have friends that encourage you.

57. Build a strong spiritual relationship with the Father. He will destroy every physical, spiritual, and mental barrier in Jesus name.

58. Always know that you are packaged to overcome. You are built to scale the hurdles of life. And you will overcome in Jesus name.

59. How can you have self-pity when you know Jesus is your Elder Brother? Who born that limitation?!

60. You are an overcomer. God has made everything available for you. Declare these into your life

61. As the word of God enters into your spirit, the hold of personal limitations is broken from your life in Jesus name.

62. God will assign angels to you – people who will run with your dream, and add value to your life.

63. Rid your life of negative thoughts so that positive thoughts and ideas can flow into your life.

64. Don’t let limitations stop you, take the limits off!

65. Surround yourself with the right people; hunt for good people to be in your corner.

66. Take that first step. Once you take that first step, help will rise for you.

67. Good news is, there is a promise in God’s word to help you overcome every personal limitation. Afraid you will fail?

68. Declare: The lines are fallen upon me in pleasant places. I have a good heritage!

69. Whatever your personal limitation, it shall come to pass in Jesus name !

70. Finally, to WIN, you must WEAN yourself of every negative thoughts. You will overcome in Jesus name.

71. God bless you and give you the grace to step out of every personal limitation in Jesus name.

72. You are breaking forth on every side. I see God bringing you into your wealthy place. God has prepared a table before you, and will prepare you to take your place in Jesus name.

73. Nothing meant for you in this season will be diverted. You will be bold and possess all that belongs to you in Jesus name.
