1st Session

1. Talent can be defined as a natural aptitude or skill.
2. We can also say talent is a special ability that allows someone to do something well
3. Everyone has talent. What’s rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads.
4. Talents may be artistic or technical, mental or physical, personal or social.
5. You can be a talented introvert or a talented extrovert. Your talents need not be profitable, useful, or conventional,
6. But they will always be your own, a part of what makes you into you.
7. Learning to look for your talents in the right places and building those talents into skills and abilities might take some work,
8. but going about it creatively will let you explore your natural abilities and find your innate talents
9. Talent born or made? It is a “natural endowment” of a person—so we’re all born with our talents.
10. It’s up to us to grow and develop them, but the seeds are in us at birth.
11. If you can determine what your talents are, you can tap into an amazing resource that can help you in every aspect of your life, including your business.
12. Whether you are searching for the perfect type of business to open or you want to find ways to grow the one you have, you may find the answer in your personal talents
13. How to discover my Talent? Stop waiting for talents to appear.
14. You can’t know if you’ve got a talent for guitar if you never try to play guitar. Find a talent that seems cool and learn everything you can about it.
15. Find out what it takes and see what you’ve got. If you never try, you’ll never know. You’re not going to find a talent without trying.
16. You can only find your natural abilities, skills, and talents when you test your mettle and actively seek new experiences.
17. Face down obstacles and seek out challenges to see what innate skills and abilities you might be hiding.
18. Listen to others. You may be clueless about your talent, but your friends aren’t. So ask them.
19. People around you usually know what your talents are, even when you don’t, because when they need something done well—you’re the one they’re always asking, or sending their friends to
20. Try things that are easy. What comes naturally to you? What do you do without thinking? What do you love?
21. Look to your obsessions and your interests for the possibility of talent. What comes easily to you? Focus on the talents you do have by focusing on what comes easiest to you.
22. Try things that are hard. Does the stage frighten you, or maybe public speaking? Writing a story and finishing it? Grab the mic and put pen to paper.
23. Do what scares you. What would be your bucket list talent? What would you love to be naturally good at, without trying? Face down big challenges and find out what it takes to be good at them
24. Keep track of little successes.
25. If you’re feeling talentless, maybe it’s because you’ve been missing out on your own successes.
26. Try to pay close attention to successes, both little and big, to identify things for which you might have a natural talent.
27. Think creatively about how these little successes might connect to more significant talents and abilities.
28. Get a mentor to help you: on lean to lean on someone’s shoulder.
29. If I have gone far in life it’s because I lean on shoulder of someone ahead of me
30. Talent is a tenant in the house owned by genius
31. Think about it: so many people are in jobs they hate because they haven’t found that one true passion.
32. They are good at a few things so that’s what they do here and there, but they aren’t sure what that one big thing they want to do forever could be.
33. Here is my message: stop doing stuff you hate. Nail down your strengths so you can discover your passion.
34. Read Everything Now, I know this is a very grey world. Get firsthand knowledge about your talent
35. Note that a man’s gift makes way for him even create space for him in the face of limitations and struggles of life.
36. When you know what your talents are, you feel more in tune with your life.
37. The sun shines brighter, jerks are less jerky, and all is well with the world because you’re on track. You have a purpose.
38. Add a vision and a plan to your talent and you can also use those talents to excel in the business world. Whether you leverage those talents in your product or service,
39. Or you use them to network and make quality connections, it’s important to know what your talents are. When you capitalize on your talents,
40. It no longer feels like work, it just feels like living. And anything that makes business and life more enjoyable is bound to be a good thing!
41. Never give up, even if you fail!
42. Three C’s in life…..Take a “Chance” to make a “Choice” to bring a “Change” in your life.
43. Be patient, too. It can take a lot of time and many false starts to find out what you’re best at.
44. Be open-minded about what your talent might be. It may not be quite what you expect.
45. Try doing many different things and reading about many more. If something doesn’t resonate, move on; if it does, explore it more deeply
46. Become the best of you!
47. Remember talent remains it its deposited state by the creator until its activated
48. Discover and get your talent activated today. I dare you to take a bold step
49. Remember one of life tragedy is talent undiscovered
50. Books not written, innovation not made, words not spoken, designs not made et al
51. You are power than who you think you are ACTIVATE you TALENT NOW!!!

Talent 3

2nd Session

1. It’s really a privilege to be a facilitator a second time on #Breakingbarriers. Thanks @dayus4heaven
2. During my last session here, I shared some principles of time. #Breakingbarriers
3. Now the year is fast coming to an end. Time has finally caught up with everyone. #Breakingbarriers
4. It’s either you are quite glad you hit the mark for this year or otherwise. #Breakingbarriers
5. Regardless of where you find yourself at this time of the year, there is definitely a great chance for a better next year. #Breakingbarriers
6. I would be sharing on “Leveraging, a key to better result” #Breakingbarriers
7. So briefly I would break it down as I like to… Let’s consider the word “Leverage” #Breakingbarriers
8. To leverage is to influence a system, or an environment, in a way that multiplies the outcome. #Breakingbarriers
9. Your leverage is your advantage, strength, or the pull you have over circumstances. #BreakingbarrierS
10. We would consider two core areas that can amplify the magnitude of results you can obtain. #Breakingbarriers
11. You will need to leverage on:
1. What you have in your hands
2. Relationships #Breakingbarriers
12. One thing I discovered and immediately adjusted to is that, productivity flows from inside-out. #Breakingbarriers
13. I have been studying a lot about productivity these days… That is, the ability to positively engage your creative energy. #Breakingbarriers
14. There is so much wealth you can generate and mission you can accomplish with what you have in your hands. #Breakingbarriers
15. Little wonder did proverbs 4:23 say “keeps your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”#Breakingbarriers
16. Leverage on what you have in your hands. That’s your advantage/pull to all you need. #Breakingbarriers
17. Trees do not suddenly appear, they start from seed state. #Breakingbarriers
18. Don’t say you have nothing. I learnt this fundamentals from @pastorpoju. Don’t despise what you have. #Breakingbarriers
19. Take ownership of it, focus on it, spend time learning how to deploy those seeds in your hands. #Breakingbarriers @pastorpoju
20. What you have in your hands can be in form of a skill, an idea, a job, a contract, or a project. It can be represented as anything. #Breakingbarriers
21. As long as it’s in your possession, you can use it to generate whatever you desire #Breakingbarriers
22. If you will first recognize that all you need to reach the heights you desire is already with you, #Breakingbarriers
23. You will no longer dwell on the entitlement mentality and you will begin to produce a positive energy #Breakingbarriers
24. This may lead you diligently understudy yourself continuously to identify the capital you already possess but ignorant of #Breakingbarriers
25. You need to start appreciating & nurturing your “bronze” instead of envying another person with gold.#Breakingbarriers
26. The moment you start appreciating the bronze which symbolizes “seemingly nothing”, it begins to create the wealth you need #breakingbarriers
27. These positive energy is the key to #Breakingbarriers and yielding better results. #Breakingbarriers
28. The next thing we would consider is Leveraging on relationships. #Breakingbarriers
29. You need people to achieve results. You can’t run everything alone. #Breakingbarriers
30. We are all interconnected. No one is too small to be ignored and no one is too big to need help. #Breakingbarriers
31. Perhaps the reason somethings aren’t seeing some expected results is beacuse you are trying to pull the strings all by yourself #Breakingbarriers
32. You need quality relationships that will help support your vision #Breakingbarriers
33. You can’t build relationships with like minds without spending time. #Breakingbarriers
34. “The value of a relationship is in direct proportion to the time that you invest in the relationship.”- Brian Tracy #Breakingbarriers
35. Make positive deposits into relationships by contributing to the success of another #Breakingbarriers
36. Those deposits after sometime will naturally yield a return on investment (ROI). #Breakingbarriers
37. Don’t just treat people like don’t have feelings. I have seen people show terrible character. #Breakingbarriers
38. No matter the social class, you have no right to mess with people’s emotions. #Breakingbarriers
39. Is your favorite letter “I”? If you are only looking out for yourself, look out! Serving others is one of life’s most awesome privileges.#Breakingbarriers
40. I feel fulfilled when I see someone doing well as a result of the help I offered. Kindness is the most difficult thing to give away, since it usually comes back to you. #Breakingbarriers
41. “Alone we can do so little – together we can do so much.”- Helen Keller #Breakingbarriers
42. Begin to take significant interest in those persons that surround your daily scheme. #Breakingbarriers
43. They are the advantage/pull you possess as you pass through different phase in life. #Breakingbarriers
44. It costs nothing to be nice.. But a bad attitude will drain you of many opportunities #Breakingbarriers
45. This is where I would end the session tonight. I await your comments. Thanks for staying tuned! #Breakingbarriers @dayus4heaven
46. Thanks @dayus4heaven for the privilege. We are #Breakingbarriers

3rd Session

1. Good evening everyone. @dayus4heaven thanks for inviting me for this weekend edition of #BreakingBarriers @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
2. I am sharing on CREATIVELY BREAKING BARRIERS. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarrier
3. For every quests to progress and achieve something worthwhile in life, usually there is a block to cross @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
4. Those blocks/barriers exist for many reasons. Some are natural, while others are circumstantial. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
5. Depending on your belief system, some ain’t as normal as putting 1+1 to get 2. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
6. However the barriers may be, the battle is first lost in the Mind. Failure and Success happen there too. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
7. Once your Mental capacity speaks to you and convinces you that the barrier is insurmountable… @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
8. ..and you accept and consent to your Mental reasoning…no need to try, the battle is already lost. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
9. So no matter the barrier, either career, finances, Biz or opportunity, the greatest barrier is the Mind @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
10. If you are able to counter your mind and win over it to support you, you will somehow find a way out. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
11. It is like the saying that: WHERE THERE IS WILL, THERE IS A WAY. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
12. When the WILL TO DO, ACT, & TAKE ACTION IS defeated, no barrier can be surmounted. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
13. I will share a little story about how I faced and surmounted a barrier in my career, once upon a time. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
14. I had graduated in the Top 5% of my class and was ready for a job after NYSC. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
15. I was told that my discipline is not exactly what the Job I love to do would consider. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
16. So the first and natural feedback I got was a NO. But a NO isn’t really a NO, DONT TRY AGAIN. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
17. A NO is an opportunity to try again but this time in a more intelligent way. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
18. So I got employed in the same company but not in exactly the Dept I think I want to be. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
19. However, my interest remained. I knew what I wanted and would always want it. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
20. While I keep at what I have gotten, I didn’t let what I want skip my conscious mind an inch. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
21. I have heard, WHEN THE PREFERABLE IS NOT AVAILABLE, YOU MAKE THE AVAILABLE THE PREFERABLE. A big lie! @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
22. The available can never be the preferable of it is not meant to be the preferable. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
23. When you make the available the preferable, you have resigned to fate…& fate doesn’t really end GREAT @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
24. Rather what we should do is use what is available to get our preferable…and that’s exactly what I did. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
25. One day, time and chance took me to the Dept of my choice, face to face with the Head of that dept. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarrier
26. While I was abt my job, I chipped in a word in our chat. Sir, I love what you do, I’ll like to do same. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
27. He smiled and asked, would you like to join us….guess my answer, I said yes and he said send your CV @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
28. I did sent my CV and the waiting began. Few months after, an internal opening exist and everyone applied @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
29. I saw it but didn’t apply. Why, the role wasn’t what I think I will enjoy. I wanted something diff @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarrier
30. The HOD would go to the HR and ask if I have applied, and they always tell him no he hasn’t. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
31. I actually didn’t understand why he took interest in an “unserious” me. So the HR lady decided to call. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarries
32. She asked, did you see the vacancy, I said yes I did. Why ain’t you applying, I don’t just like the role @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
33. ..That was my feedback. So she dropped the call and I smiled at the other end, waiting for my dream role @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
34. Somehow, the HoD and I met and he asked why haven’t I applied I said because of the role. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
35. Then he said something I will never forget, it is easier to change when you are in…why not come in 1st @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
36. So most of us try to break barriers from far distance…We keep hitting it but falling short @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
37. Immediately I told him, I got it. Ran to my office and dashed to the HR with a copy of my CV. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
38. It was actually the last day of application and the day of interview. When I got there, she looked at me @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
39. …with the most unserious look I have ever received. She said but I called you…you said NO. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
40. The only word I uttered was, I am sorry. While I was standing, the GoD walked passed, said nothing. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
41. Grudgingly, she asked for my discipline, grade, and certifications…I had all but certification. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
42. Grudgingly, she hit her keyboard, typed my name and said, the interview is 2pm. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
43. I thanked her and ran back to my office to prepare without even an idea of what to prepare for. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
44. When it was time for the interview, a total of 9 people showed up for a vacancy of 6. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
45. All of my competition studied a perfectly aligned course to the role we seek. But I was unperturbed. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
46. While I’m School, I had gotten my hands ‘dirty’ with the rudiments of the role we seek. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
47. I mean, I understood the basics from the basics, so I went in to be interviewed when it was my turn. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
48. At the end of the interview, they didn’t pick me for that role. They said I was too GOOD for it. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
49. Becos of me, they took one extra person & took me to a unit more superior & much more aligned to my exp @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
50. Here is my conclusion, in breaking barriers, your MIND/THINKING need to agree with your HAND/ACTION. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
51. You need to be ready because the opportunity you seek may knock at an unprepared hour…2PM. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
52. You need to convince yourself that AVAILABLE IS NOT PREFERABLE but a stepping stone to it. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
53. You need to use what is available as a Tool, experience and develop yourself for your dream. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
54. You need to go closer to the Barrier you want to Break. David ran towards Goliath, remember. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
55. Then when D opportunity presents itself, do ur very best to proof that u really deserve the opportunity @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
56. Then, understsnd, it isn’t becos u are better, it is because the HoD & the HR lady gave you the chance @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
57. In all of this, you must be willing and able to take advantage of the time & chance that presents itself @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
58. Thanks for the opportunity to share a perspective on CREATIVELY BREAKING BARRIERS. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers
59. Thanks for having me, I appreciate the opportunity. I will respond to questions, if any. @dayus4heaven #BreakingBarriers

#BreakingBarriers Weekend Edition HB

Why Free Your Subconscious of “Limiting Beliefs”? (To Thrive, Not Just Survive!)

If you resist your own efforts to change a habit, it speaks to the quality of rapport between your mind and body. Simply put, they’re not in synch.
What can disturb this special relationship, essentially, between the conscious logic part of your mind and the subconscious felt-emotion part? In a word, fear.
More specifically, limiting beliefs can activate the body’s fear response unnecessarily. Your survival is not at stake, for example, when you discuss a sensitive issue with your spouse, yet your body’s defenses act “as if” it is, i.e., with an angry outburst or an emotional shut down.
Why do you have reactions that, to your logical mind, are “unreasonable”?
New neurological findings suggest that the part of the brain that is in control of habits, the subconscious mind, does not easily let go of certain patterns. Imprinted in cellular memory in the first 3 to 5 years of life, at the time, they played a critical role in helping you survive.
Your subconscious depends on this special pool of data, accrued from past “scary” experiences, to know when to activate your survival response, on the basis of what you specifically “perceive” as “threats” (subconsciously, danger).
Once set, these protective response patterns operate, for the most part, without conscious awareness. And, that is precisely what keeps them in place — you are not consciously aware of them.
You are designed to do more than survive!
You were born with an inner drive to thrive, not merely survive, rather to fulfill heart yearnings to love and be loved, to contribute meaningfully, empathically connect to life around you, and so on.
In the words of Daniel L. Siegel, M.D., your “brain is a relationship organ.” Your greatest fears, as a human being, are connected to not fulfilling these universal drives, which activates core existential fears of rejection, abandonment, inadequacy, loss of self or the unknown, and the like.
Thus, a belief is limiting when it unreasonably activates one or more of your core existential fears, such as rejection, abandonment or inadequacy, and so on.
Knowing this, your subconscious ever prompts you in this direction. It’s the operating system of your mind and body, after all.
Your subconscious mind is designed to be open to your direct influence. Ideally, the conscious and subconscious are designed to work together.
As they each perform tasks the other cannot, each depends and relies on the other to do its part, without which the quality of their individual performance is impaired in some way.
Safe to say, your subconscious mind has been waiting for you to take conscious charge of your life, on a consistent basis, ever since you’ve had the cognitive abilities to do so (for most, between 20 to 25 years of age)!
Any limiting beliefs you may hold, however, cause it to believe that you’re not ready to take the reins. So, one new way to understand these “unreasonable” responses is to see them as prompts from your subconscious mind.
The pain itself is a prompt to pause, reflect and make inner changes.
Emotional suffering is a byproduct, you may say, of not accepting that you are wired to face the pain that stretches you out of comfortable places.
In other words, you are wired with a tendency to resist change until the pain of not changing becomes greater than changing.
Pain is an integral part of all growth, however. Your body seeks to impart its wisdom to you, and pain is one of its chemical messengers. “No pain, no gain” is more than a cliché.
Reactivity is caused by inner perceptions and not outer events.
When your conscious and subconscious are at odds, where fear is a factor, the subconscious performs a coup d’état — not unlike a dictator.
Logic does not dictate behaviors. Emotions do.
Many personal and relational problems stem from limiting beliefs, held in memory by your subconscious, that continue to hijack your brain.
If your ability to make conscious choices is regularly hijacked, a limiting fear is likely in play.
This is call action.
You simply cannot create more love and happiness in your life and relationships with thoughts focused on “what you lack” or “who is to blame.” These automatically energize your existential fears.
Life does not work that way.
Feeling your fears was only a “real” threat to your survival in childhood. The main threat, as an adult, is how your brain in survival mode blocks you from thriving emotionally, mentally and spiritually in your personal life and relationships.
The subconscious cannot alter your beliefs, however; this is a task for your conscious mind.
So, what’s the solution?
The solution involves getting to know yourself, building rapport with your inner self (subconscious), taking consistent action and giving yourself the gift of your own full acceptance. Also regular confession
Get to know yourself.
To break the hold of unreasonable fears, you need to identify any limiting beliefs, understand your thoughts and feelings, how these are designed to work, your wants, needs, passions, goals, and so on. These processes allow you to have an inside-out response to events around you, so that your conscious self is in charge, rather than your senses.
Rapport-building communication.
To develop rapport with your subconscious, you need skills for building rapport. As in any healthy relationship, you need to learn how to communicate with your inner self in ways that build rapport, foster compassion and understanding, acceptance and honor, and create the sense of safety you need to remain empathically connected to yourself and life around you.
Take consistent action!
It’s not enough to build your understanding and know how. To seal the deal, you need to follow through with regular action. Even small steps, such as observing your thoughts, noticing your emotional response, replacing a limiting belief with an life-enriching one the moment it surfaces, and so on, can make a huge impact. It is consistent action that will integrate new life enriching beliefs into your subconscious so that they become part of you inner value system.
Full Acceptance of Yourself.
To fully accept yourself you must necessarily come to a place in your life where you fully embrace painful emotions as essential messengers, as your body’s wisdom communicating with you to teach you what works and doesn’t work, and to support you to make conscious choices to do more than merely survive — to thrive.

You need to accept the fact that your belief system influence results in your life.
Wish you all the best!

Success Starts with You

If you want a thing bad enough
To go out and fight for it,
Work day and night for it,
Give up your time and your peace and
Your sleep for it
If only desire of it
Makes you quite mad enough
Never to tire of it,
Makes you hold all other things tawdry
And cheap for it
If life seems all empty and useless without it
And all that you scheme and you dream is about it,
If gladly you’ll sweat for it,
Fret for it, Plan for it,
Lose all your terror of God or man for it,
If you’ll simply go after that thing that you want.
With all your capacity,
Strength and sagacity,
Faith, hope and confidence, stern pertinacity,
If neither cold poverty, famished and gaunt,
Nor sickness nor pain
Of body or brain
Can turn you away from the thing that you want,
If dogged and grim you besiege and beset it,
You’ll get it!
